Rainy Days

My baby boy loves to play outside. We go outside everyday for at least an hour or so. It is so wonderful that the weather here still allows for us to do so. And even though it rained all day yesterday McCoy was not about to let that ruin his outside time. He grabbed my umbrella, handed it to me and with a big melt your heart smile and puppy dog eyes he said,"Hee do momma, ouuside K". (Here ya go momma, outside ok). How could I resist.

Santa Baby

My mom started a Christmas tradition with McCoy where she gets him a New Santa outfit every year for Christmas pictures. Well after we got done taking pictures today he would not take his Santa suite off. He walked around the house being silly and then he walked outside to greet the neighbors in his red suite. Of course I couldn't put the camera down so I just followed him around while he performed his silly shenanigans.

Game Day!!!

So as you probably know by now, the Redskins lost on Sunday. They made a good run for it at the end but never came through. It was still a very very memorable day. My darling hubby as been a Redskins fan since he was just a little older than McCoy. Seriously! (I've got the pictures of him in a Redskins Uniform to prove it. LOL) Anywho this was his first time to see Washington play live and it was so cool to be there to experience that with him. There was so many fans there. Even the Bucs fans were saying that there was more Redskins fans there than any other team had show up all year. So that was pretty cool to see all the fellow fans. The Raymond James Stadium is pretty amazing too. They have a huge pirate ship that shoots off canons after touchdowns. McCoy was really enthusiastic when we first got there but after teh first canon went off he got a little nervous so him and I spend most of the time out by the food courts! I have never eaten so much consession food in my life.LOL. It was all good though and we had a great time. Glade is already planning a trip to Washington to watch them play at home! Go team!

Mall Detour

And of course what is a little vacation with out a little shopping...We stopped at the famous Tampa Baystreet Indoor Outdoor Shopping Mall. We didn't even make it through the whole mall but we had fun trying. The atmosphere was great and there was even a play area for McCoy to burn some of that toddler energy before bedtime.

Sea World

We stopped at Sea World on our way to the game in Tampa. We had to use our season passes just one more time before they expire. I must say that I am tempted to get passes again. We absolutly love Sea World! I reccomend it to all freinds and family. McCoy adores the dolphines and he really digs the Shamu Show. He is terrified of the Shark tunnel but he always has to go in it at least once.

Off to the Game...

We are off to the game in a couple of hours. Glade has been a die-hard Redskins fan since he was a little boy and he is finally going to see his team play live at the Tampa stadium! We are all very excited for the game. Hope you all have a fun weekend and I will post pics when we return.

GO REDSKINS!

Trick or Treat

McCoy had so much fun this Halloween. He figured out pretty quick that a big smile and some form of "Trick or Treat" would get him a bag full of candy. He ran from house to house, it was so fun to watch. We walked the neighborhood with our new neighbors who also have a little two year old. McCoy and and the little neighbor girl Robby ran side by side giving out big cheesy smiles. McCoys version of Trick or Treat came out sounding more like Tick Tee but everyone thought it was cute. He got extra candy at every house. I couldnt stop myself from smiling and laughing. Its the best feeling in the world to see your kid smiling and having fun! By the time we got to end of street McCoy was tired of walking and wanted to be strolled around. Robby was not using her stroller so he helped himself and hoped on in and got pushed from door to door. What a little ham. He sure knows how to work it. LOL. Hopefully he will sleep good tonight from all the excitement and walking. I know I will.

Our new "Home Sweet Home"

Moving Dayz...

Sooo, I know I havent been on-line in a while but never fear. I am back. The fam and I have been busy trying to finalize our move. We finally found a new home, and we absolutly love it! It is in a great neighborhood and has a lot more room for us to play in. It is a perfect move for us. We have been crazy busy packing, moving and unpacking since Saturday. It has been a whirlwind of boxes and tape and lots of paperwork. (Our new Home Owners Association is pretty thorough)but we are finally getting settled. McCoy loves all the extra play room and the excitement of something new, a new adventure for us all. We hope our new home will be frequented often by friends and family!

Good Ol' Fashion Fun

I don’t know what got into us last night but we sure had a lot of simple fun! McCoy really wanted to play with mommy but I was feeling so tired of all his noisy robots and cars so I decided to go old school on him. I pulled out all the blankets from your linen closet and threw them on him one at a time while he was sitting on the floor. He would crack up every time he found his way out of a blanket and another one would land on his head. Then we pilled them all up in front of the couch and played King of the mountain. Daddy even joined in on this game. McCoy would climb up on the couch and push me and Glade off and then stand up with arms raised, give out a war cry and declare his position as King. It was hilarious! Sometimes the big fancy expensive plastic toys pale in comparison to plain old fashion simple make believe.

McCoy's ABC Adventure

This was fun to do and very very entertaining for McCoy to watch. He loves to see himself dive in the water and drive the train. Thanks Kristen for sendig us the link.

Into the Wild

There was a little overcast today so we decided to take advantage and go outside and play. We had so much fun at Lion Country Safari. The drive through Safari is always a fun adventure. It is so up close and personal, McCoy just loves identifying the animals and hearing them make noises. He loves the elephants and the rino's. We spent a good amount of time at the waterpark, cooling off and splashing around. Feeding the Giraffs is always my favorite part. McCoy was scared at first and just kept throwing food at them, and then he realized that they would come over more slowley if he just held his hand still. He liked petting them but as soon as the would tickle his hand and arms he would get all squirmey. It was so fun to watch him interact with this giant beautiful creatures.

Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse

So I have to give a big Thank you to Sarah for recommending that I, and everyone, read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. This book is captivating. I had so much fun reading it. I want to tell all about it but I don’t want to give anything away. I never thought I would read a book like this, mostly because of the estranged story line and abstract characters, but I fell in love. I just finished the second story in the trilogy and can hardly wait to go and pick up the third. And for those who have read any books in the series, I just read that a movie deal is in the works for the first story, Twilight. I am kind of excited and at the same time saddened. Movies are never as good as the books but it is still exciting to watch the characters come to life and project the story in ways you may have not imagined. Either way I am looking forward to reading more by this author. Thanks again Ms. Stokes

Cooling Off in Palm Beach

Vanilla Ice Spotting - Since we have moved here we havent really seen any faces worth a mention. But yesterday while at the post office Glade ran into the "Ice Ice Baby" himself. Glade strolled out of the PO with a such smug grin and proceded to tell me who he saw right by our PO box. We checked the parking lot for a really fancy car or a license plate that might give him a way to make sure it was really him but no such luck. But we got online today and there have been a lot of spottings here in palm beach so Glade is convinced it really was him. I know he is not really a big star anymore but he is our biggest star spotting so far. LOL Keep you posted if we come across any other honerable mentions. :)

Go Big Blue, GO BSU

Now that its fall again, time for the wonderful Thursday night line-up. Glade and I had a such an entertaining evening watching our favorite shows together. We love Grey’s Anatomy and The Office. We also get a kick out of watching My name is Earl (Don’t ask why, we just took to this one for some reason). I love GA, I am so lame but it really moves me. Each episode makes me sad, excited, or angry or all three. LOL. Glade makes fun of me for getting all worked up over my shows, but he does the same thing, worse I might add, for football and I see no difference so that argument ends there. We all got excited for football tonight though. Of course we were supporting the boys in BLUE! We try to never miss a game. They are never on television here so we usually have to watch the games through Broncoweb but tonight we got to watch it on the big screen. McCoy is so funny because he mimics Glade so much so whenever Glade would get all excited MacMan would be right there jumping and cheering and when things were bad there was Mac shaking his little fist and head at the TV. It was hilarious. Luckily there was more jumping and screaming than finger shaking. LOL. Go Broncos!

What's your favorite Chip Dip???

McCoy has always loved yogurt. He lived off of Yo-Baby for a while. Lately he has been in an experimental mood with his food. Today it was yogurt spread over tortilla chips! Yumm Yumm right? Maybe not to you and me but it sure was tasty to him. I laughed so hard because watching him eat his yogurt chips reminded me of my two younger brothers who, when they were little, use to dip every sandwich they had in whatever they were drinking. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich got dipped in Milk. OK, not so bad, but in Kool-aid? Or a tuna sandwich dipped in OJ. Gag. I guess its a kid thing. Thankfully I dont remember any of my own weird eating habbits. LOL.

Im getting bigger everyday...

Glade and I were both conked out cold this morning. McCoy woke up early and kind of nudged us to get up like he usually does. When neither of us woke up, he climbed over Glade and down the side of the bed walked down the hall to his bedroom turned on his TV, grabbed some toys and his blankie and sat in his little leather chair to snuggled up and play. We felt him get up and so we got out of bed a few minutes later to check on him and he was so content all by himself and so proud of himself for being such a big boy. I was so impressed! As soon as he noticed I was watching he got up gave me a kiss and a hug and pointed me in the direction of the kitchen so I could open the fridge for him and then he proceeded to grab a juice sippi cup and a yogurt, closed the fridge and then put his breakfast down on the table, walked over the silverware drawer and signed spoon.

WOW, when did my baby get to be so big, so independent and so smart. If he could have opened the fridge all by himself I dont think he would have missed me very much this morning! Now if he could only learn to measure the laundry soap and do a few loads of whites I would really be impressed! Just kidding, its just that I guess I have been in denial about my baby getting bigger. I know I have a million more milestones to witness McCoy growing up but I just dont think Im ready. I absolutly love playing with my "Big Boy" but sometimes I sure do miss my "baby"!

McCoy's Birthday Trip...

We took big Mac to Disney and Sea World for his birthday! (Every weekend for the past three weeks has been his birthday) We had to go to Disney to see Lightning McQueen. McCoy thinks that car is the greatest thing in the world next to Spiderman. While at Disney he bounced with Tigger, kissed June from Little Einstines, high fived Mickey, and danced on stage with the Bear from the big blue house and Jo Jo from JO Jo's circus. It was a pretty fun day. Glade and I even got to ride a few rides. Of course we had to take a picture of Mac with the giant guitar. He thought that was pretty amazing. He put on a show for everybody showing off his air guitar skills. THat ride was so fun! At Sea World he just ran from attraction to attraction. He was pretty excited and loved seeing the animals. His favorite was the sharks even though he was terrified at first hekept wanting to go through the underwater shark tunnel. He was scarred of Shamu too but he loved getting splashed and soaked by the whales big tail. I just loved the picture of him kissing the bear statue outside of the Artica attraction. He was pretending to be a baby bear and he gave the "daddy" bear a big kiss. He is such a cutie!

Happy Birthday Mac

Today was my baby boy's 2nd Birthday! I cant believe he is already two! Sometimes I want him to revert back to that precious little infant I brought home from the hospital and then other times I love his new little personality. He moves and acts like a real little person now. It has been so much fun to watch him grow and I know we are going to have so much more fun in the years ahead! I love you baby boy! Happy Birthday!
These two pictures where taken at McCoy's Nana and Pops' house in Idaho when we were there visiting. Nana threw him a Lightning McQueen Party and made him a race car cake! He had blast. Today we had a Spiderman Cake for his birthday here in Florida and took him to pick up some more 'Cars' toys and Spider man gear! He is such a boy!
