Spending Time with Daddy

McCoy got it in his head that he just had to buy daddy a fishing pole for his birthday and Fathers day so we got Glade a pole and one for McCoy so they could go together. We got the present a week and half before Glades birthday and McCoy had to keep it a secret till then. It was his first secret and he was so excited to have secret information. I am so impressed that he kept it the whole time and never told.

So on Glades Birthday we went to one of the ponds in our neighborhood to fish. We didn't catch anything but pond scum LOL, but we had such a relaxing and fun time anyway. McCoy even kept his pond scum and put it in his tackle box. He said he was keeping a collection of disgusting stuff. (You must know, one of his favorites shows is Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe).

On Fathers Day we took a little trip to the beach and spent the day soaking up the sun and just playing in the water and sand. Ever since swim lessons McCoy has turned into a fish and loves to be in the water. He is doing so well with his swim lessons and his swim instructor has really brought him a long way. He never use to like to get his head wet and was so hesitant to be in the deep end of the pool and to get in past his ankles in the ocean but now we can't ikeep him out of the water. We love it! He has a few more lessons before he can take off by himself but we are just so proud of how far he has come. P.S Like the Sand Castle? We spent about an hour collecting and washing shells to put on it. We are such nerds but we had such a fun family day. I love the beach. Can't wait to go to Miami! Wahoo!

He is such a cute kid. Hope is good down there for ya'll. Tell Glade that he is going to have to start dressing McCoy in Bears uniforms because the bears are winning the Super Bowl this year.

Since I use first names, I didn't want them connected to our last name.
