Some days fly by and others just don't last long enough...
When you are the mom of a three year old the sky is the limit. You can be anything you want to be....er...anything your three year wants you to be. These are a few of the fancy things McCoy dreamed up for me TODAY...
Rock Idol: I started off the day as a RocKsTaR! Singing a duo with the one and only Mac Man! We rocked B-I-N-G-O all the way to school this morning & we even had time to do an oncore of Head Shoulders Knees & Toes! Even in the Car Seat McCoy can bust a move! I know its going to be a good day when he buckles in and says, "Ok mom, Turn it UP!"
Space Hunter: Bet you didn't know my secret identity was a Jungle Space Alien Hunter. Even though we played outside at the park today with Macs Play group, when we got home he wasn't done playing outside so Commander QwIcK DrAw McCoy and I got busy blasting aliens. Today our mission was to tromp through the jungle landscaping and scout for bad space aliens. Don't be frightened though, I'm pretty sure we took em all out with our laZer guns.
Skateboarder: Ok, so technically neither McCoy nor I actually know how to ride a skateboard, but hey, we have been practicing our moves on the grass and I gotta say, we sure LOOK cool STANDING on the board.
Pirate: Before dinner we found ourselves outside again this time on the Sandbox Ship. We were Pirates trying to stay out of shark infested waters as our ship kept sinking. Good thing McCoy and I are excellent swimmers. (As long as there is no actual water involved) That's the last time I'll let McCoy be the lookout though! We crashed 6 times and never made it to the Island with the treasure!
Volcano Jumper: This one actually almost ended my night...I was following behind McCoy jumping from pillow to pillow er, I mean Hardened Lava Rock to Lava Rock trying to avoid falling on the carpet, er "Hot Lava" when I slipped on one of the said rocks and slid into a wall. Its just a dang good thing I happen to be playing with a Medic today. When he saw me fall McCoy ran and got his Doctor Kit, patched me up, told me I was good to go and then he said to come back and see him again next year when I turn Four for my check up. LOL
Crazy robot Inventor: So after the whole wall slide incident McCoy conceded to play a simpler safer game and we agreed on Legos. McCoy insisted we build a Robot Boy so this is what we did. He designed and I built. We got the body built and he said,"Stop, he doesn't need a head, watch this..." And then he proceeded to stand behind the robot and start talking in a robot voice and of course what did he say, "I am Robot boy." Followed by "Dome Arigato Mr Roboto" CLASSIC!
Horse Whisperer: After dinner Cowboy McCoy came downstairs to make an appearance in the kitchen and naturally he was looking for someone to tend his horse while he was taking down dirty varmint, so guess who got the job. I got to look after Ol Thunder for him while he was shoot'n bad guys. Good thing I had Plenty of Apples. "Horses sure love Apples!" (Back YardAGains Reference...you now you watch it!)
After all this play I finally convinced McCoy that we needed to sit down and rest and watch American Idol. He reluctantly agreed because of course watching television is really not high on his list of things to do as you can see, but he sat with me non the less and then I got to be my most favoritist thing in the whole wide world, CUDDLY MOM. I only get to be this when McCoy is extremely tired and Snuggly. He grabbed a blankie and laid his head in my lap, asked me to rub his back and then this is where my poor tuckered out Robot Rockstar Pirate Cowboy fell fast asleep. And I got to just pick him up and hold him and reminisce about all the fun stuff he makes me do! Thank heavens for little Boys!

Birthday's and Babies
This weekend we attended a 31st birthday bash for a friend of ours and we had a wonderful time visiting and just watching our kids play. Many of the families there I have known since we moved here so it was nice to reminisce and see how far our kids have come and how big the younger siblings have gotten. The kids all range from 4 years old down to a couple months old. I got my baby fix and played with the little ones. McCoy has never wanted anything to do with babies and lately he just thinks they are the cutest thing. He was completly smitten with baby Jake here. McCoy and I really enjoyed playing with baby Jake's chunky little cheekies. I hope my next one is a cuddly bear just like this one.
We are loving babies right now...so long as we get to give them back. LOL. We have seen so many newborns lately, and I have been to so many showers it's crazy! Its like the year of the babies or something. LOL But I love getting to shop for and play with all the babies and see all the cute new baby stuff out there. I have even started another closet for the "future" Peterson Baby's wardrobe. ;-) NO I am not pregnant, but you never know how quickly "someday" will come along so I figured it best to be prepared. :-)
Emma Sitting!
McCoy and I got to Dog Sit for the first time this weekend and I have to say, that it was actually the funnest thing. Of course, if you know Glade and I you know that we are not really pet people, but this dog is pretty special. Emma is one of the best behaved animals I have ever seen and one of the best trained too. It was so easy to look after her and McCoy LOVED playing with her and taking her for walks. It just melted my heart to watch them interact. I just loved watching McCoy talk to and pal around with this funny little stumpy four legged friend. I hope her owners know that we are gonna stop by even more now to play with her! Also they have an absolutly adorable new baby girl and we just love baby Paisley too!

The Big Bounce
Last weekend was a the Wellington Fair, West Fest! Mostly it was a land of bounce house fun for the kiddos. McCoy had a wonderful time and wore himself out! I wish I could fit a bounce house into my living room decor!
Once he found out he was meeting a friend there and that he was getting a fun pass wrist band, he couldn't wait to get out the door. He was rushing us all morning.

Lets Go Play Outside...
Why Hellllooooo, I know its been a while but we are back. This little fam of 3 has been out and about enjoying the awesome weather & spending all our time outside enjoying the time change! We visited the pool today for the first time this year and it was wonderful! I am so excited for beach time! Last week was another first where McCoy asked if he could cross the street to play with a group of kids 3houses down. Since I was going to be outside and could watch them from our house, I finally decided to let him go. My baby is growing up and turning into one of the 'neighborhood kids'. :-)
McCoy and I have also been keeping busy by spending a lot of time with our playgroup doing lots of fun field trips and playdates.
Zoo Days!
This is McCoy, Brandon & Aiden riding the turtles. Today we visited the Palm Beach Zoo with a couple of our playgroup friends. I made up a scavenger hunt for the kids to do and they really enjoyed finding and checking off each animal.
McCoy and Parker watching the Sea Otters.
Pirate starts with 'P' and so does Pirate Party!
McCoy and I hosted another Letter of Week event for our play groups Pre-School Co-Op activities. We focused on the letter P and had a Pirate Party. The kids made their own pirate hats, we sang songs, read books and did some fun games and afterward each kid got a workbook packet to take home.
This is our friends Carolyn and her shy smily guy Brandon showing off his pirate hat.
LCS our Favorite Park!
The boys! Little stinkers. Just about every time I went to take pictures this is what I got, little backsides! I guess they have all had enough of my compulsive picture taking.
LCS has so many fun rides for the kids and mommy loves that they are all free! This is Mommy Annette and her son Parker on the elephant ride. McCoy and Parker are also in the same class at school so between playdates and school they get to see each other a lot.
McCoy and his buddy Hayden hanging out on the tour boat at LCS.
I'm sure you are sick of seeing Lion country Safari pictures but it really is McCoy's favorite park. There is so much to do! I swear we are there once a month and we never run out of things to do! He can't get enough and it is just always so fun I don't mind going again and again!
Extra Notes for me...Random goings on...
* A couple of weeks ago Glade twisted his ankle and was out for a week and then threw out his back and had to visit the chiropractor a handful of times over the course of two weeks. It is finally feeling better and the ankle is good now too. Good luck making it through this next week injury free babe, please be careful!
*I had my first parent teacher conference...McCoy is doing well in school, one of the youngest in his class and has already impressed his teacher very much by how well he keeps up with the older kids. Needs work on scissor skills though. ;-)
*McCoy has also been eating like a horse, must be a growth spurt but he is always saying, "Mommy I'm a little snacky, can you make me a ... or get me a..."
*McCoy has discovered Music on You Tube. All day long we hear Peanut Butter Jelly Time, ACDC TNT & Thunderstruck, and Crank Dat by Soulja Boy. ALL DAY LONG...He sings to himself or is listening the computer. ALL DAY no joke! Watch for McCoy's debut music video coming up once I figure out how to post video. LOL
