Trick or Treat

McCoy had so much fun this Halloween. He figured out pretty quick that a big smile and some form of "Trick or Treat" would get him a bag full of candy. He ran from house to house, it was so fun to watch. We walked the neighborhood with our new neighbors who also have a little two year old. McCoy and and the little neighbor girl Robby ran side by side giving out big cheesy smiles. McCoys version of Trick or Treat came out sounding more like Tick Tee but everyone thought it was cute. He got extra candy at every house. I couldnt stop myself from smiling and laughing. Its the best feeling in the world to see your kid smiling and having fun! By the time we got to end of street McCoy was tired of walking and wanted to be strolled around. Robby was not using her stroller so he helped himself and hoped on in and got pushed from door to door. What a little ham. He sure knows how to work it. LOL. Hopefully he will sleep good tonight from all the excitement and walking. I know I will.

Our new "Home Sweet Home"

Moving Dayz...

Sooo, I know I havent been on-line in a while but never fear. I am back. The fam and I have been busy trying to finalize our move. We finally found a new home, and we absolutly love it! It is in a great neighborhood and has a lot more room for us to play in. It is a perfect move for us. We have been crazy busy packing, moving and unpacking since Saturday. It has been a whirlwind of boxes and tape and lots of paperwork. (Our new Home Owners Association is pretty thorough)but we are finally getting settled. McCoy loves all the extra play room and the excitement of something new, a new adventure for us all. We hope our new home will be frequented often by friends and family!

Good Ol' Fashion Fun

I don’t know what got into us last night but we sure had a lot of simple fun! McCoy really wanted to play with mommy but I was feeling so tired of all his noisy robots and cars so I decided to go old school on him. I pulled out all the blankets from your linen closet and threw them on him one at a time while he was sitting on the floor. He would crack up every time he found his way out of a blanket and another one would land on his head. Then we pilled them all up in front of the couch and played King of the mountain. Daddy even joined in on this game. McCoy would climb up on the couch and push me and Glade off and then stand up with arms raised, give out a war cry and declare his position as King. It was hilarious! Sometimes the big fancy expensive plastic toys pale in comparison to plain old fashion simple make believe.

Into the Wild

There was a little overcast today so we decided to take advantage and go outside and play. We had so much fun at Lion Country Safari. The drive through Safari is always a fun adventure. It is so up close and personal, McCoy just loves identifying the animals and hearing them make noises. He loves the elephants and the rino's. We spent a good amount of time at the waterpark, cooling off and splashing around. Feeding the Giraffs is always my favorite part. McCoy was scared at first and just kept throwing food at them, and then he realized that they would come over more slowley if he just held his hand still. He liked petting them but as soon as the would tickle his hand and arms he would get all squirmey. It was so fun to watch him interact with this giant beautiful creatures.

Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse

So I have to give a big Thank you to Sarah for recommending that I, and everyone, read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. This book is captivating. I had so much fun reading it. I want to tell all about it but I don’t want to give anything away. I never thought I would read a book like this, mostly because of the estranged story line and abstract characters, but I fell in love. I just finished the second story in the trilogy and can hardly wait to go and pick up the third. And for those who have read any books in the series, I just read that a movie deal is in the works for the first story, Twilight. I am kind of excited and at the same time saddened. Movies are never as good as the books but it is still exciting to watch the characters come to life and project the story in ways you may have not imagined. Either way I am looking forward to reading more by this author. Thanks again Ms. Stokes

Cooling Off in Palm Beach

Vanilla Ice Spotting - Since we have moved here we havent really seen any faces worth a mention. But yesterday while at the post office Glade ran into the "Ice Ice Baby" himself. Glade strolled out of the PO with a such smug grin and proceded to tell me who he saw right by our PO box. We checked the parking lot for a really fancy car or a license plate that might give him a way to make sure it was really him but no such luck. But we got online today and there have been a lot of spottings here in palm beach so Glade is convinced it really was him. I know he is not really a big star anymore but he is our biggest star spotting so far. LOL Keep you posted if we come across any other honerable mentions. :)
