McCoy's Busy week...

McCoy has had a busy past 2 weeks and trying to keep up with him has dang near exhausted me to the point that I have let my blogging go to the wayside. :) Not to mention my housework too. Ooops. Oh well, It all can wait because I have had so much fun playing with my boy. I don't have time to sweat the small stuff when I have super hero costumes to create, play dates to attend, feet to paing, cakes to bake and pools to blow up. I realize that I need to make the most of everyday with Mac because I am quickly loosing the battle against trying to keep him little. A woman complimented him the other day and said what a handsome and polite little boy he was. Much to hers and my surprise, he quickly and sourly snapped back, "No! I am not little I am BIG Boy!"

So here is what my "Big Boy" has been up to...

PLAYMOBILE Fun Park: an indoors play area with every playmobile set you can think of all laid out for the kids to play with and let there imaginations run wild. McCoy really loved the castles and the pirate ships.
This is Big Mac at A LATTE FUN: another indoors play area with a tramp, giant slide, all sorts of costumes and toys. It is a great place to get out of the heat and it is also a cafe so we got lunch there too. We love it.

Swim time!!! Of course he would only settle for the pool with a Basketball hoop and nothing less! So of course he wins again! And of course whats a little pool time with out your best bud, Mac and Robbi swam today and even enjoyed a little teeter totter time too.

Here he comes to save the day! Its a bird its a plane...no its super comic McCoy! He fly's up the stairs and jumps over small objects in a single bound! The Sunday paper sure came in handy on Monday!

If you can't beat em, Join em! McCoy started to paint his feet while we were painting with water paints and he was having so much fun I let him paint my feet too!
After another long day at Lion Country Safari in the Splash Play Ground, poor Mac was just plain old tuckered out!
The only kind of Cake we bake around here is Chocolate! McCoy loves to "help" me in the kitchen and today was no exception! He is really great at getting those spatulas clean!

And this day was Package day...McCoy's favorite day! Mac loves to get packages from his Pops. He lights up whenever we check the mail and there is a package. He immediately knows its for him and he gets so excited. Pops sends him a package every month and McCoy looks so forward to it! You are the greatest dad and big fella sure loves you bunches!!! Check out that smile! That's gratitude and love rolled into one!

Attitude Adjustment

Attitude Adjustment:

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.' So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up,looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. 'H-M-M,' she said, 'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.' So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up,looked in the mirror and noticedthat she had only one hair on her head.'Well,' she said, 'today I'm goingto wear my hair in a pony tail.'So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. 'YAY!' she exclaimed. 'I don't have to fix my hair today!' Attitude is everything.

Happy Cinco De Mayo...We got Crabs!

Sorry about the title! I couldn’t resist! So first off, we had a fun little family dinner tonight at our new favorite Mexican Restaurant, "Corona Cafe." The people there are so friendly and welcoming and the food is awesome! Anywho, it was packed tonight in honor of Cinco De Mayo so we enjoyed the loud fun music and each others company. It was a fun Fiesta! McCoy sure loved dancing in the booth to the music.

This weekend Mac and I went to Home Depot for project day and Mac built a nice flower box with wooden flowers for me for upcoming Mothers Day. We always have so much fun there. I recommend Home Depot Project Days to everyone. It is free and very educational for the kids and a great way to spend time together building something fun.

After that Mac and I went on a shopping spree hitting stores here and there and then we came home to meet up with Glade and spent the rest of the afternoon hanging by the pool.

The rest of the weekend was spent at the Beach! We went to a little Luau on the beach. A friend of mine from my mommies group just graduated and wanted to celebrate so we headed out to the sun for some fun. I am so impressed with her. She has a pretty awesome husband and two fun and energetic kids and she has never taken a break from her schooling. It has taken her a little longer to finish but she never gave up. She is even going back in the fall for her masters! You go girl!

Now on to the Crabs! Soooo, there were like a million little crabs scurrying around all over the lagoon where we were picnining. It was crazy. McCoy loved chasing them and watching them walk. It was quit a site. He even caught one and then we let it go and watched it scuttle off. The kids loved it. I was a little creeped out but once we got out of the lagoon area and onto the actual beach there were no more crabs and water was wonderful! It was the perfect sunny day to chill on the beach.

The Dutchess is in the house...

Soooooo, after hearing the word SUNFEST about a million times on the radio and on the news, we decided we better GO. So we headed out to Sunfest yesterday and spent the whole evening there. We had a ball just walking around and checking things out. Sunfest is apparently pretty huge for West Palm Beach so we figured we better go at least once before we get out of here. We walked around all the booths; saw some awesome art work, and amazing sculptures. Mac had a blast at the family center were he played in a giant sand pit (all moon sand, that stuff is crazy). He had a ball bowling and jumping in the bounce house and he even got to do a little fishing and learn about recycling. The volunteers there did a great job with the kids. Glade and I had a great time just people watching and checking everything out. Oh, and the best Part...We ended the night watching Fergie Ferg perform live! I am normally not a big concert fan but it turned out to be really exciting. McCoy slept through the whole thing though, apparently he is not a Fergie fan, but Glade and I sure enjoyed the show, the dancers were pretty amazing! I even sprang for a Dutchess concert shirt but didn’t get to wear it because McCoy thought it made a better blankie than a shirt for mommie so of course he won. He fell asleep wrapped up and in our shirts and because it was an outdoor concert, and because well it is Florida, we did get rained on just a little bit but it was still a blast. We hung out in the back of the crowd in a big open grassy area with the other cool parents and their sleepy kids. It was hard to get good shots from the back but Glade and I took turns heading into the crowd to watch a song or two and then we just chilled together on the grass and just enjoyed the show.

My Buddy and Me...

McCoy:"Mom, You my pal?"
Me: Of course buddy, always and forever!"
McCoy:"I lub you momma"
Me: I love you too dude, to the moon and back!"
McCoy:"I lub you mom to the sun and shining!"

Last night I watched my little man sleep and it was all I could do to not wake him up to play with him and squeeze and hug him and hear him laugh. I had to settle for a quick kiss on the forehead as I tucked him in. I just realized that my baby has become an actual little person with his own opinions and ideas and stories. He even has his own memories already. He loves to tell me stories about things we did the day before. "Momma remember when I did this...." He cracks me up on a daily basis. Even though we go the rounds sometimes when his "toddler Monster" surfaces, we always have a good time together. He is my own personal cheerleader too. When he eats his lunch, even if its just Mac and Cheese, he looks at me with such appreciation and say's "Thanks for making this for me mom, Yum Yum!Good job cooking mom," well those words just melt me and makes me smile. Being an only child right now Mac gets alot of my attention and I love being there for him. When he was a baby I use to push "lovies" on him. Blankies, teddy bears and other stuffed animals but he never got attached to any of them. I worried because I thought he would have a tough time making emotional attachements later on and then my pediatrician told me not to worry, she said that McCoy didnt need any of those things because he had me 24/7 all day everyday! I was his "lovey!" From then I took so much pride in being there every second for him. I dont know what I am going to do when he has to go to school next year!

From booties to boots & Little Tykes to Bikes ...

Where oh Where did my baby boy go. He is only Two years old, isnt that still considered a baby??? My baby is zooming through toddler hood and is transitioning from toddler to child right in front of my eyes and I am so not ready yet. I know it is so cliche but every one who said take every moment in because they fly by was right. I cried last night because over this past week I have slowly opened my eyes to see my little baby learning how to do big boy things.Like learning to ride a big boy bike. He barely learned how to ride his tricicle it seems and now is on to bigger and better things. He already thinks he can do motorcross tricks on his bike just like he has seen on the Xbox games. He rides with no feet or no hands or his favorite is riding with one hand. I know I will be rushing him to the emergency room within the year. Lord help me.

Out and About

We had a lot of fun while Tasha was in town. The first night she was here it was freezing but over the next few days it warmed up a bit. We had the opportunity to check out Lion Country Safari,Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Casino, downtown West Palm Beach where we got some fresh Tats by Melissa, and then We spent Tasha's last day in Florida in Miami. We walked around some of the shops and spent a good amount of time just basking in the sun. The ocean was way beyond freezing to get in but there was plenty to do and see just laying on the beach.
