There and Back again...
Whew, I am still trying to catch my barrings ang get grounded again, It seems like I have been here there and everywhere lately. So two weekends ago I was sitting on a beach in Key Largo soaking up the sun and playing in the ocean and just having a ball. I went with some girlfriends to the Holiday Isle's Resort and we just hung out and enjoyed our mommy free weekend. It was a blast and I can't wait till our next Moms Gone Wild adventure! I wish I would have taken more pictures though. I guess I was just too preoccupied relaxing and napping on the beach. :) It was so much fun even though I was missing my fellas like crazy. I know they had a lot of fun too though. When I would call them McCoy would always start off by telling me things like, "Mom, we are in the car leaving the house and we didn't even pick up my Lincoln Logs.We just left them on the floor and Dad said we can do it later" or "Mom, I am having Ice Cream AGAIN two times today!" They went out for ice creams and played at Chuck E Cheese's and just had a ball. I was expecting to come home to a crazy house but they had it spic and span when I walked in the door. They Do Love Me! :)
And then we did a quick overnighter in Orlando. We took Mac to Disney World's Magic Kingdom for a couple of hours and just let him run loose. I will never tire of that place, It truly is magical. We even got McCoy on a few small kid roller coasters. He was less than thrilled and probably will not go on another coaster again for a long time but at least he tried a couple.
We also had a crazy experience with the Buzz LightYear character... So we stood in the long line for forever to take a picture with Buzz and when it was finally McCoy's turn he was so excited he was just jumping up and down and bouncing around twiddilinghis fingers. As soon as I said, "Ok, now turn around and hold still and say cheese," Buzz lightyear squatted down and and gave the thumbs up and McCoy...well we gave two fingers up! Guess which two! He flipped off the entire of line of parents and kids. I was so embarrassed! But it was totally hilarious. Of course McCoy has no idea what that means, he was just so excited and when I told him to hold still he was busy wiggling all his fingers and he saw buzz hold up two fingers so he just hurried and picked two and did the same. But Oh my goodness it was too funny! I didn't get a picture though. Guess thats a good thing. A Disney moment we won't soon forget.
We stayed the night at the Nickelodeon Hotel which I have to say was pleasantly surprising. Our room really nice and McCoy had an absolute blast. There was so much to do there that we spent the whole next day there just hanging out. They had arcades, theatres, a mini mall and food court, a pool and water park area, they even miniature golf and a toddler water slide. McCoy's favorite was the character appearances though. We saw Sponge Bob, Squid worth, Angelica from the Rugrats, and Diego. They characters were all so friendly and since there wasn't a lot of people there they would spend tons of time with each kid. McCoy made friends with Sponge Bob and the squid and he played with them for a good half hour. It was a nice little get away for the three of us and now it is back to the grind. We are recharged and geared up for another busy summer. :-)
