The Pumpkin Patch

Every year McCoy's school opens the "Pumpkin Patch" up and you can go and pick pre-picked pumpkins. It is not the same as Pumpkin patches back in Idaho, but we still get our pumpkins and have a great time browsing all the shapes and colors. Since the pumpkin patch is set up just around the corner from the classrooms we end up walking through it pretty much everyday. McCoy has even been after school hours to meet up with friends.

Driving Myself Crazy...

Today is one of THOSE days...

I was trying to post our Disney pics and then the Internet shut off and I lost all the post I was working on. So I re-posted all the pics and now for some reason they only show up under the second posting on the blog. So if you want to see the Disney pics look under the "It's a Girl" post and the next post under that should be "Destination Disney". I don't know how to fix it without having to re post everything. Blah....

This day started off great with McCoy 1st art class session. He LOVED it. He brought home a "Masterpiece" as he called it, framed and everything. I LOVED the class because he got to have fun and make a big mess with paints and other art supplies and somebody else cleaned it up! Win win!

But as the day went on strange things kept happening. When I went to take McCoy to school I almost got beheaded by a duck. It flew right over my shoulder and landed on the ground in front of me. Then we saw 2 iguanas on the school grounds after pick up. One was stopping traffic. It was laying in the middle of road just sunning himself I guess. He was a huge fella. Then as we started to drive closer he finally got up and started walking away but not very fast little stinker. McCoy thought I was gonna run him over but I was just trying to get him out of the way. Before we headed home we stopped at 3 different stores to find egg nog. I am beyond cravings, I am obsessed! I bought not 1, not 2 but three different bottles just to make sure I don't run out again before I get to the store to by another bottle. Geeze. I am losing it!

It's a GIRL!!!

We found out today that we are having a GIRL! I think daddy was the happiest. At first McCoy refused to except the reality that his baby brother is now a baby sister. He has told us all along that it was a boy and now he says we have to try again. LOL. He did say however, when he was looking at the Toy's R Us flyer and he spotted a pink power wheels jeep, that he would "buy it for his baby girl sister when she got big like him". Awe. He is coming around already.

I am really excited. It's gonna be a whole new world! I am completely scared to death too but I know I have a lot of great friends who are gonna help me out. And lots of family just a phone call away.

Sugar And Spice and Everything Nice! Ribbons and Bows here we come!

Destination Disney!!!

Wow! We had a blast this past weekend. We hit all four Major Disney Parks, (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom) + Blizzard Beach Water park and Downtown Disney. It was all so much fun! It truly is full of Disney Magic!

Here are our Peterson Family Top 10 Disney Favorites...

1. Favorite Park: Hollywood Studios - something for everyone! We spent the morning of Day 2 there. Got into the park an extra hour early and rushed to get on the Toy Story Mania Ride. The line was ridiculous but luckily it moved fast and was totally worth it. We loved it!

2. Favorite Family ride: Toy Story Mania 3D in Hollywood Studios.

3. Favorite mommy ride: The Tea Cups

4. Favorite "Un"-Magical Moment: Finding out that the Magic Kingdom although filled with all its Mickey Glory, is really not that "Magical" for us. McCoy hated every ride there and wouldn't go on anything. I think part of it was he was tired, HOT, and just scared. We watched 2 grown men almost get in a fight, they pushed and shoved and had some choice words. It was not pretty or very Disney Like. Apparently it is not Magical for everyone...And of course McCoy was asleep before we even got out of the park. I also lost a shoe at the water park the next morning. Not very fun on the hot hot ground!

5. Favorite Characters: Mickey and Minni of course!

6. Favorite Rides for Daddy: Epcot fast track, Rock'n Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest. McCoy was soooo not thrilled to let daddy ride that one. Espcially when he found out there was Yeti in the mountain the roller coaster/train rode through. He actually FORBID me to ride any scary rides. Lucky for him I was more than compliant...this time...I had to be. This is McCoy Boo'ing the ride.

7. Favorite good decision: Staying on Disney grounds. We parked our car and were driven around the rest of the time. No worries. Our hotel was themed and fun and McCoy just ate it up. Plus extended park hours for Disney Resort Guests is a nice perk too.

8. Favorite Parade: The Pixar Parade. The night time parade was pretty cool too though but just couldn't match the fun and excitement of dancing toys.

9. Favorite Show: It's Tough to Be a Bug! The super cool 3D Bug eyes is what sold us!

10: All time Favorite: Just being together as a family. Being silly, being us, and being together! It was Disney magic!

Bob the Builder, Beach Bomb Baby, Boo boos & Beautiful Florida Weather

I have said it before and I will say it again...I live in Paradise! I am not shy about saying that I am not and never have been a fan of the cold. But I must say I am so thankful for the beautiful snow that fell over Idaho this past weekend. I got lots of texts and e-mail pictures from friends and family back west and it was so nice to see how pretty the ground looked covered in snow. But what made me even more happier is that it all happened way back in Idaho far far from me. I love to see the pictures because it is really just beautiful and there is something to be said about the magical feeling of the "first snow." Glad I got see the pictures, hear all about it and be a small part of it without having to actually be there. Brrrr.

We spent the past two weekends playing outside here and enjoying our own beautiful weather. Sunny and fabulous! Last weekend was Miami Beach and this past weekend we hit the pool a couple of times. We love the beach; building sand castles and snorkeling and just chillin. I haven't been out in the sun much so I was trying to sun my big belly. You wanted some preggo pics. Here they are!

Goggly eyes! Glade and I each got our own set of goggles. McCoy started using them while he was taking swimming lessons and he loves them and convinced Glade and I to try them out. Neither of us has had them before so we were like kids in the pool. We looked like such dorko's but we had a blast. The three of us would all go underwater and make faces at each other and just be silly. I never go under with my eyes open because of contacts and Glade doesn't either because he has very sensitive eyes so it was so fun for McCoy to have us under the water with him enjoying his underwater antics. He is such a nut. I need an underwater camera now. In this picture McCoy is wearing my goggles and I am wearing his.

Boo Boo's. Friday before class McCoy tripped and face planted it into the asphalt in the parking lot. His elbow and knee did not break his fall as much as his poor head. He immediately got a giant goose egg and started bleeding. He got up and ran away from embarrassment mostly and then cried briefly but as soon as I cleaned him off, He just couldn't wait to get to class to show his teacher and classmates his battle wounds. He is such a boy. I sat with him during the first few minutes of class just to make sure he was ok. (Overprotective Mother I know). We iced his goose-egg but he really didn't seem to bothered by it at all. I think it was an adrenaline rush for him more than anything especially with all the other kids coming over to check it out and wanting to touch it. Danger Boy Wonder! Oh my.

I took these pics two days later after the swelling went down. He is such a trooper. He was like, mom, they don't even hurt anymore why do you want a picture. I didn't have an answer for him other than I take pictures of everything in his life that happens to him. Big or small. He told me I take too many pictures! He's probably right but It's all part of the storytelling. Every story needs a picture. It really just reminded me of when he was a baby, just walking, and then a toddler who was always exploring. He ALWAYS had a bump or bruise on his head. It's been a while though. My baby boy is just too dang big. Four years old and I can't get enough of him. I want him to go back to being a baby, I want him to stay the age he is, and yet I can't wait for him to grow a little more because with each new stage comes something amazing out of this kid. He says and does so many cool things and I love all his stages, and all his bumps and bruises! My heart overflows with nothing but love for my little man. I can't wait to have two!

Can we Build it? Yes we Can! Of course as it is the first of the month we never miss our Home Depot Day/Dunken Doughnuts day! Here is the latest project.
