Getting Crazy on a Saturday Night

Today was such a beautiful day that I took McCoy and his bestest friend Robbi for a swim & we had so much fun.

After swimming, and after the kids went down for nap my wonderful friend and neighbor Missy did my nails for me. She just does wonderful work & it feels so nice to get pampered like that I must say that I enjoy it way to much. It’s nice to feel so girly & we always have such good chats. Well Missy also just recently purchased a T.A.T. machine. (Temporary Airbrush Tattoos) So with her new machine on trial right now she needed some fresh "canvas" to practice on so Glade and I volunteered our skin. We had so much fun. To see Glade with tattoos though just makes me laugh. She said she plans on practicing on us some more throughout the week so maybe you will see more pic’s soon.

After our Tatting party, we went to Kabosko’s Creamery which is just a little shopping center outside our community. Every weekend they have a car show there and live music so we took the kids and of course Mac loved the cars. He tried to identify ever car with a car from the Lightning McQueen movie. And with the live music of course came some dancing in the streets. McCoy and Robbi were getting down.

When we got home we had a nice little dinner together munching on some homemade Manicotti, garlic toast and salad. And for dessert we had fresh fruit and marshmallow cream cheese dip. Yumm Yumm. It was such a complete fun filled day and we are so lucky to have such good friends who just happen to be our next door neighbors. Thanks Curry’s for sharing your Saturday with us, we had a blast.

TAGGED AGAIN!
WHAT IS HIS NAME: Brent GLADE Peterson
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MARRIED: Going on 4 short but wonderful Years.
HOW LONG DID WE DATE: We started dating in 2000 then Glade went on his mission and we got back together shortly after that in 2002 and we got married in 2004.
WHO SAID I LOVE YOU FIRST: He did. He had wanted to say it for a while and then one night he said, “Do you know that song, ‘I think I love you, but what am I so afraid of’? Then he said, “well yea, I Love You!” It was so corny but cute.
WHO IS TALLER: Glade by almost a foot.
WHO SINGS BETTER: This would be like comparing the worst of the worst. Glade and love to sing to each other but we are both tone deaf as all get up. Ironically we both come from extremely musically talented families. Go figure.
WHO'S SMARTER: Glade is more book smarts and I am more people smarts. We help each other out a lot and benefit from each others strengths.
WHO PAYS THE BILLS: Glade. This makes both of our lives much easier. He is the accountant after all.
WHO SLEEPS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BED: I do because it is furthest away from the door and the window. I am such a chicken.
WHO MOWS THE LAWN: Don’t know his name but he does a good job. We have a service only because our homeowners association pays for it.
WHO COOKS DINNER: I do most every night and although I can’t say that I enjoy the actual cooking of dinner, I do Love serving my family a warm homemade meal.
WHO DRIVES: Glade, he goes crazy whenever anyone else drives.
WHO'S MORE STUBBORN: Of course I am going to say Glade, but if he where to be the one writing this I’m sure it would be a different story.
WHO KISSED WHO FIRST: I would say he kissed me and he would say I kissed him so we still don’t know to this day other than we were meant to kiss each other that night and fall in love!
WHO ASKED OUT WHO FIRST: His best friend asked me out for him. My poor hubby was clueless in the girlfriend department.
WHO PROPOSED: Glade. He asked my parents first and then the next night was the night before Christmas eve and he asked me over to his parents house and told me he got me an early present. He gave me an empty ring box with a cute poem and his proposal. The ring was waiting for me on the Christmas tree hung on a beautiful Glass ornament. After we got the ring off the tree he got down and one knee and put it on me. It was one of those commercial proposals and I loved every second of it!
WHO HAS MORE SIBLINGS: Glade, he has 8 brothers and sisters.
WHO WEARS THE PANTS: We both do. Tight stretchy pants that make us look tight like tigers! Rrraarrhh. 
I TAG: Sarah Stokes, Wendy Darling, Nicki Bradbury

A Hundred Dollars

Last year at Disneyland Glade and I burst up laughing when we heard a mother tell her 3 boys (all under the age of 5) that they couldn’t have balloons because they cost a hundred dollars. She said this with the most straight forward face that it just cracked us up. If you have kids you know what it feels like when they ask for EVERYTHING. We ended up sitting by her during the parade and talking with her for a while. Glade & I have since adapted her saying, and we often use it on each other but have never said it to McCoy because we know he has no concept of $$$. Well today McCoy and I visited the Build-A-Bear Workshop to browse around for some fun stuff for his bear. I told him he could pick anything in the whole store. Well he picked up a pair of sunglasses and guitar and then quickly put them back. I said, “Hey buddy do you want those, mommy will buy them for you.” To which he somberly responded “no mommy, it costs a hunded dollars.” As you can imagine my heart just opened up. What do you say, I told him that they didnt cost a hudred dollars and then showed him the amount on the back wich were both small numbers that he recognized. (Lucky me he picked inexpensive things. LOL) We both walked out of the store with big smiles. Its so funny what our kids pick up whether we are speaking directly or indirectly to them.

Please Pass Along...

So I have been racking my brain trying to figure out a way to get these recruiting flyers circulating. We post them around many of the colleges in Idaho and Utah, but I needed another way to get them out there so I though what better way than to post it on the blog. Surely my friends and family could help me spread them around via the wonderful world wide web.
As you know Glade and I own a pest control company, Empire Pest Defense, Well right now it is recruiting season for us so we are busy busy looking for guys and gals to come work during the summer months. We are trying to fill our sales positions, one manager position and of course we are always looking for recruiters. There is no experience needed to apply for a sales position as we provide all the training, however sales experience is necessary to apply for the manager position. We have two offices, one in West Palm Beach and the other in Orlando. If you know someone who is at least 18 years of age and looking for a fun & profitable summer job then please pass along this flyer. We can be reached at Empire Pest Defense # 561-434-6445.

We thank you in advance for all your help in getting this flyer passed around. We really appreciate it!
Love,
Amber & Glade

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Just wanted to wish you all A Happy Valentines Day! Remember to tell someone you love them today! Actually remember to tell lots of people you love them, nothing makes a person feel better than knowing they are loved!

Your Never to Tiny to Love...
McCoy and his bestest friend Robbi...

These two just melt my heart. They play together almost everyday. And even though both of them can talk, they often use a language that only they can understand. They are very huggy and lovey, one is always following the other, they have to sit right next to each other, and even though they fight sometimes, they are usually quick to say sorry and they cry so hard whenever we have to seperate them.
McCoy wants me to say a message to his friend: "Happy Vantins Day to my Fiend, Lub Matoy"

And these are just a few things I love...
*Mornings: Waking up next to my handsome hubby and little Rockstar boy everyday for family snuggles. Plus its hard to wake up in a bad moon when the sun is always shining!
*Motherhood: more rewarding than I could have ever imagined! I love my little Rockstar more than words could ever describe!
*Family time: We always eat our 1st & last meals of the day together and sometimes when were lucky we get to eat lunch together too! Evening walks. Glade and I have such wonderful talks & we love to watch Mac run and try to "winned" us in a race. Plus after we walk we usually come home and have dessert. (What would be the point of exercising if I didn’t get to reward myself LOL)
*Being Comfy: which means I love my comfy pants! I like to get dressed up when I leave the house but as soon I’m home I slip into "house clothes" & put my hair up! Thanks mom and dad for my new jumpsuits! :)At least I still look cute when I'm comfy and just chilling at me casa!
*My hobbies: Books Books Books! I love to read, always have and love that my little fella shares my love of reading. It is such a fun bonding experience to share a good story. Scrapping projects: books, cards, and other scrapping crafts. Yoga. Im not much for hard core exercising but I do enjoy a nice calming session of stretching and breathing - nothing feels better.
* All my family! I am so lucky to come from such a wonderfully fun loving inward and outwardly beautiful family. I am even luckier yet to have also married into a rather large family of fun easy to love members! I am twice blessed to have such a huge group of people to love and be loved by.

Getting Crafty

Just wanted to show off some of the cute cards made by The Scrapping Chicks over the weekend. We had a good time. We got together on Saturday and did a Valentines card crop and swap and here are a couple of the cards we made. It was a lot of fun to just sit together and watch everyone with their own tools and techniques. Like I said before I am not much of a scrapper but when I do scrap I always have a good time and I'm really trying to get back into it. This was a fun weekend project with the gals, we talked, laughed a lot and ate way to much chocolote! Thanks Jen for bringing the turtle-esque candie, it was awesome!

C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 Years Ago:
I was hanging with my girlfriends in high school and just having a grand old time!

Things on my to-do list today:
1. Wake McCoy up and make sure him and Glade get breakfast
2. Do dishes from last night and clean the kitchen
3. Take McCoy to story time at 10:15.
4. Stop at the scrapbook store for final supplies for this weekend
5. Run business errands, bank, post office, etc.
6. Make lunch for Mac then read him his stories and put him down for nap
7. Work: make calls, input invoices, file and tidy up office
8. Finish hanging my utility shelves in my laundry room
9. Make dinner, do dishes, clean kitchen, yada yada
10. Put my little Rockstar to bed, snuggle with Glade and watch Lost before bed.

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
I can't remember who wrote it but I liked their answer, I would most likely invest a lot of it, then Glade and I would build our dream home, pay off our parents house's, take our families and closest friends on a cruise vacation, of course put aside money for Macs (and future children’s) schooling, make sure all our funeral arrangements are paid for, and of course we want to take care of our parents when they reach their years of need. I would also probably make some ridiculously stupid purchases too because...hello I have a billion dollars to spend.

3 of my bad habits:
1. I can't break myself of needing to eat dessert after lunch AND dinner AND for a snack. I often eat cake three times a day.
2. I refuse to hand wash dishes. I will leave dishes in the sink until the dishwasher is free.
3. I'm an angry driver. I have had to learn to really watch myself while I am driving now that McCoy is a little parrot and will repeat anything we say.

3 places I have lived:
1. Burley/Heyburn, Idaho
2. Boise/Meridian, Idaho
3. Greenacres/Wellington, Florida

5 jobs that I have had:
1. Cleaning my dads office @ Butte Fence
2. Fire Prevention Technician for the BLM
3. Working in Public Affairs for BLM
4. I did volunteer PR work for the Boise Rescue Mission
5. Doing the Pest Control Thang, working part time and being a mommy and wife full time and loving every minute of it.

5 Things people don't know about me:
1. I want to sky dive soooooo bad. It is all I can think about these days.
2. I am the slowest eater in the world except when it comes to cereal! I can inhale cereal because I absolutely hate my cereal to get even a little bit soggy.
3. When I yawn sometimes my throat does this thing where it literally stretches and the muscles pull and the noise it makes sounds like a small fart! Gross huh. Its way embarrassing.
4. I compulsively doodle. All my message books have doodle markings everywhere. I can't stop myself.
5. I love to eat lemons! They are so juicy and sour. When I need to relax and just have some me time nothing is better than some mindless tv time, a big glass of ice water and a big juicy lemon and salt. I don't know what it is but it instantly puts me at ease.
